Two nptech events were visible in the NpTech tag stream, the Nonprofit Commons in Second Life Launch Party and the Net2 meetup in Houston.

Things are slowing down during the holidays , so here's a short version of the NpTech Tag Summary. It all started when Susan Reynolds , a social media maven and artist, was diagnosed with breast cancer and started a blog to write about her experience and used twitter to fight her cancer. What's your take on Twitter for Nonprofits?

UNF has a YouTube channel and uses Twitter to engage support online. Those familiar with Michelle's work in the nptech sphere understand that this non-open-source tool review is rare, so go take a gander and join the discussion in the comments! If we're thinking of Facebook groups (or listservs for that matter) as online communities, what personalities do you see in the communities you are managing? Alexandra Samuel has a great idea for using twitter - provide updates on how you've changed the world! And now for a chuckle from LOLnptech about twitter.

Most NpTech blogs are high school level. leading to an impassioned request for best practices for minimizing damage when this security breaches occur on several listservs. NpTech Global Kabissa joins Aid for Africa for the third year running! So, I have no idea why this page was tagged with NpTech.

I've noticed this in the nptech stream, we have conversations scattered in listservs, forums, blogs, twitter, facebook, myspace, and other social media nooks and crannies. The other day, Chris Brogan left a comment about how conversations online were becoming more distributed and fragmented.
