According to an email from Ben Rattray, Change.Org founder, "This is not at all meant as a replacement for the profiles organizations have on MySpace and Facebook, which I think are great for reaching younger supporters. NpTech Global Kabissa joins Aid for Africa for the third year running! What do you think?

I've also added the pink ribbon to my Facebook profile. If we're thinking of Facebook groups (or listservs for that matter) as online communities, what personalities do you see in the communities you are managing? Unfortunately, not the best thing for global nonprofits. I've added a wiki to my Facebook profile.

During the meeting, we discussed the upcoming mixed reality event at TechSoup office on July 18th, the nonprofit directory, and a representative from Global Giving discussed some ideas on how they would like to use Second Life. It is like sending a personal email to the entire listserv by mistake.

The profiles were the last thing added, when we were getting into the nature of the site itself. I'm a big advocate of the profile part, and want to see it used in other ways for members to contact each other. I think a cool thing is that we took a fair amount of push on the personal profiles. We need an archive for exhibitions.
