Too bad it’s so hard to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files on them – or is it? All of them view office documents including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files on various types of smartphones, but to varying degrees of effectiveness. You can view and edit Word and Excel files but just view PowerPoint files.

As smartphones mature, we’re doing more on them and less on our laptops. Microsoft Office Mobile is preinstalled on Windows Phone 8 and is available for select models of iPhone and Android phones as well. Google Drive Mobile is a free app for viewing and editing Google Docs on an Android phone or tablet.

Use it not only to advertise your services, but also to share files with clients, point to resources, clarify your working style/methods/contract, etc. . 2) Get a wiki.

While there are some criticisms of its consensus-based model for information-vetting, there's no doubt of its success as a collaborative knowledge-creation project. This ability to organize content segments, like moving post-its around on a table, makes wikis more useful than other collaborative document creation tools like Google Docs.
