Benetech's newest project is a software tool called Miradi that helps environmental practitioners design, manage, monitor and learn from their projects to more effectively meet the needs of global biodiversity. Our newest human rights project is looking closely at the human rights challenges in Darfur.

Our members envision a world in which the global community is willing and able to protect civilians from genocide and mass atrocities. My friend and colleague, Adam Sterling, was a 21-year-old student at UCLA when he first heard about the genocide in Darfur, and then he was outraged and decided he had to act.
