We filed the following comments to the Copyright Office's request for comments on issues about access for people with print disabilities. Most of this community doesn’t have access to formal education, most of this community doesn’t have access to jobs and most of this community isn’t recognized by larger society as equals.

Many of our projects turn on legal questions, and our attorneys are a core part of figuring out solutions that will have real positive impact on society. We’re against piracy, and have made commitments to authors and publishers to encourage compliance with copyright law. However, SOPA apparently has shoot first, ask questions later provisions. Or file a DMCA notice. Now, apparently, we can file a counter-notice. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. And then they go away.

I think the better question is, why not be on YouTube? There are some great examples of nonprofits that are doing an excellent job with online video.
