Start With the Right Profile Type. Instagram offers two account types — business and personal profiles. When creating an account for your nonprofit, you should choose a business profile over a personal one. Selecting a business profile will allow you to add “Nonprofit” to your bio.

I started the profile 18 months ago with the primary mission to only “Follow&# nonprofits in order to serve as a portal to nonprofit organizations on Twitter. Related Links: 20,000th Nonprofit Organization :: Marine Conservation Society || @ MCSUK. To celebrate the milestone, I just donated $20 to 20 of my favorite nonprofits.

Many of you maintain both individual and organizational profiles, leaving the "cause talk" to your org profiles. We were impressed (but not surprised) to see these Green orgs on the list: Defenders of Wildlife : @Defenders. The Nature Conservance : @nature_org. Earth Justice : @earthjustice.

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a 501(c)3 organization that works in the U.S. They did this by creating a Cause and a Fan Page for the org, and by forming a relationship with an ecology oriented game on Facebook, (lil) Green Patch. Jonathon - No, the Conservancy was not involved with the creation of (Lil) Green Patch.

I was just reading an interview with The Nature Conservancy's Jonathon Coleman on Treehugger. So far, I've been getting involved with online communities like Facebook by creating a personal profile about myself, and then creating a group for my organization. Should I be creating a personal profile for the organization?
