In Uganda, a group of young people made incredible, heartfelt postcards filled with glitter and cut up magazine pictures to send to women in the Congo. Anyone can become a facilitator and host a workshop in their community, and we encourage everyone to get involved. First of all, you can make a postcard! We have come a long way!

The Congo Gorilla Forest , is a special exhibition produced by the Wildlife Conservation Society at the Bronx Zoo. Rather than simply hoping the exhibits will motivate deep discussion about cultural issues, the museum provided both a venue and a facilitator for that discussion.

Erickson founded FORGE (Facilitating Opportunities for Refugee Growth and Empowerment) in 2003 when she was a 20 year-old junior studying public policy at Stanford University. He ran into Congo. He was there for about a month, and then war in Congo was breaking out. It had been bombed. He had no idea where his family went.

Women for Women International supports women survivors of war in conflict and post-conflict areas (Afghanistan, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Sudan). She signed up to sponsor two women after seeing a 60 Minutes segment on rape in Congo , where Women for Women was featured.
