This problem isn't unique to Temple Contemporary. They live their mission, working in questions and projects rather than exhibitions and programs.

This gallery has always been tough for exhibitions--it serves as a pass-through to the classroom, and during evening events, people pour through it on their way to and from classroom activities. The biggest problem is the sharpies running out; visitors pound them into the walls, and they have to be replaced every two weeks.
