The copyright exception is designed to help only "blind or other people with disabilities."

Creative Commons is a charity that champions reduced restrictions on copyrighted work by creating licenses that make it clear how material can be used, changed, and shared. It was founded in 2001 by Harvard law professor and activist Lawrence Lessig. Creative Commons has devised a set of six free and easy-to-use copyright licenses.

Fundamentally, the Arkenstone Reader allowed blind people to create their own personal ebook as a text file that could be read in something like Microsoft Word. Third, we pioneered a novel interpretation of the copyright exception for serving people with disabilities that is built into the basic law of the United States.
