When they leave their offices to grab a coffee or unthaw themselves after working in freezing offices, they might notice galleries filled with seniors, school children, and people pushing strollers. That said, other than school children, people who come during the day are there as part of their leisure time. Many go to socialize.

Today, I got a report via the TechSoup Second Life listserv about an awareness-raising campaign for homeless children in Second Life - reported here , here and here. A Spain-based non-profit, their main goal is to create shelters and foster homes for poor children and elderly people. There's YouTube video here.
