Use a script: Write out your questions in advance and this keeps you on track. I have to stick it in people's faces to get acceptable (to me) audio quality. Speaking of good audio, I raised this question on the video bloggers listserv and David Tames (who took the photo stills in the video) offered some great tricks here.

What I did for them when they finally decided to do it is pull the audio from it and they can make that a podcast and they put it on their website. And so I’ll do like a script with them. Problem or pain, you’re telling what’s wrong with your region or the world and how you’re going to fix it.

The key on Pathable is that we can ask them questions that they respond to with tags to describe themselves or interest: This creates some interesting effects- you can find other people with common interests based on tags, and Pathable does a tag comparison to suggest other people you may want to get to know during the conference.
