The Boston Media Makers meeting on Sunday was inspiring. Some techniques that I learned about that I want to put into practice in future work: Capturing secondary audio with an external mic and recorder and then synching them during the editing process. I don't know if this a problem with moviemaker or whether I'm doing it correctly.

Learning Journal: Experimenting With Adding Music to Web Videos

Lack of technical skills or software tools in cutting, splicing, fading the audio and weaving it with the video track. Thanks to my new friend, Uncle Seth (aka Jay Moonah ) and what I learned at Boston PodCamp , this is not true. You can't "silence" the audio in the video by clip or sections of the story board.

Shoot close to your subject so the audio doesn't suck especially when using a camera with built-in mic. Ryanne told me to practice and that eventually I'd get a feel for what works. I didn't believe her. but tried it anyway.

And the podcasts became an extension of that, because I realized I wanted to do interviews, and it was a great way to do the interviews and have them in an audio form for people who are interested in audio, and then also I get them transcribed and put them on the blog. So it's very exciting.
