I interviewed a few students and included their perspectives, and the theme of their responses was that the ASB trips are not effective for short-term impact, but they do great things to inspire people to further service. "I think about how many times I didn't like the color of my skin, because I didn't see myself in any art. Favianna is the co-founder of the EastSide Arts Alliance and Visual Element. The kind of art I do is art that gets engaged into the public. I think that it's a shame, because art, I think, is a human right for anyone.
