Use a Horizontal Avatar. LinkedIn Groups are the only community discussed in this book that uses a rectangular avatar instead of a square one. If you name your group after your nonprofit, then your horizontal logo is fine for your LinkedIn group’s avatar. It needs to be a strong avatar that makes a solid first impression.

Upload your avatar/logo (250 x 250), a cover photo(1128 x 191), add a description and website URL, your company/organization size, industry, and city and country. For now, LinkedIn Pages outperform Facebook and Twitter in organic reach and engagement. Once you have claimed or created your LinkedIn Page, the set up process is straightforward.

He uses a red haired avatar , so that has been my mental image of him. So the work flow goes -- check for new comments, respond, check RSS feeds, decide whether to write about it, rinse cycle and repeat. What advice would you offer other folks who are staff at nonprofits and want to blog?

why does someone spend so much time in a game world customising their avatar????
