Consider the Wikisonic , a beautiful collaborative instrument initiated by Jon Brouchoud, an architect from Wisconsin. People can touch individual spheres, each of which represents a musical note, to activate them, and the spheres create a song that evolves as spheres are activated and deactivated. It's lovely.
