I attended the first conference in May, 2010 was filled with gratitude to Soren for the amazing experience and opportunity to reflect life and balance in age of social networks.

Our top five takeaways included: Forming a strategy is a very personal exercise. Integration is going to be key in 2010. But what came out in yesterday's discussion was the true need to integrate social media into offline, and more traditional online media such as email, and vice versa, to make each as effective as possible.

They can be used for a nonprofit’s mission and that is why nonprofits should exercise transparency on web site analytics. But in many areas there will always be scope for offline delivery of a non-profit’s message. On a related note, I think a benchmarking study might be a useful exercise for nonprofits.

It’s important to do this exercise and to have a good sense of this when coming up with a plan of action on how to source your gifts. First, hold some discussions with your team on where you think your gifts come from.
