We can utilize APIs to transfer data from one system to another and even synchronize data sets in order to end up with the cleanest data possible. The City of San Francisco has done a great job so far on their data website, providing plenty of examples. Why do different applications need to communicate? Donations and Payments.

I feel like there's synchronicity in the movement all around, and that's a sure sign of it. We also have one in San Francisco. I've really been enjoying Shannon Hayes' new book called Radical Homemakers: Reclaiming Domesticity. That book came out right at the same time as Farmer Jane.
