to support programs and exhibits. Spam, obscenity--they just aren't an issue at all. We get so much spam on MySpace, whereas on Flickr and Facebook and the blog we never get spam. That’s why we’re not in Second Life. #1, We look at the equation and say maybe Second Life isn’t the right fit for us.

the Exploratorium did something really big for the August 1 eclipse and they are all over Second Life (source: Technorati ). The majority of blog traffic mentioning the Exploratorium in the last month has focused on their coverage of the eclipse and a variety of Second Life initiatives.

So when you deal with Second Life, for example, it seems like an ideal place to do that, because you don't have to worry so much about the physical materials, so you could actually go in and put bits of an exhibition in lots of different places. I thought it was spam. And when I woke up the screen was full of text.
