One person we spoke with described the sudden adjustments at her food bank: We had never used a platform virtually before. We held 33 virtual focus groups (via Zoom) with 181 CVAs in the United States and Canada. CVAs described how transitioning to virtual and remote service removed the barriers of distance and lack of transportation.

Basically, it allows one computer to serve several people in a lab or library at very low cost and with minimum maintenance. La Conner Regional Library was one of our test sites. It is a small, rural library that serves 5,000 people in the Skagit Valley in northern Washington State. She became the library tech person by default.
