Photo by Rikomatic. The key takeaway for me is the whole point about the need for new metrics to measure learning from games. Mentioned recent studies about taking laptops out of the classroom and there is a problem with using old metrics and it is important to look for new metrics and rethink learning environments in general.

This morning I attended the MacArthur Foundation Digital Learning briefing that was taking place at the Natural History Museum in NYC. These are complex learning environments where young people are making decisions, learning and collaborating with peers, etc.
