The key is to create a program that will energize the attendees and encourage a sense of community along with a desire to contribute funding. Your program is viewed through a small computer screen and must compete with the many distractions that are all around them in their homes. Gift boxes at your guests front doors.

It took place in Long Beach, CA (which has the largest number of Cambodian-Americans in the US). This workshop was an experiment in the interactive lecture and lots of small groups. It's a low profit LLC specifically structured so that private foundations can invest in it and not have to go to the IRS for a letter ruling to approve this form of PRI (program related investment). The room was mobbed as attendees swarmed around the different groups (and ate loads of ice cream). It was fun, and quite windy!

Until the pandemic hit, Sprints were in-person events that we held multiple times a year in a different American or European city, from Philadelphia to Amsterdam to Long Beach. We had event coordinators, a Sprint Buddy program to match new and experienced sprinters, and set clear expectations before our community joined.
