The app was a finalist in Microsoft's 2011 Imagine Cup, a student technology competition. Our Time (Facebook) is a nonprofit dedicated to youth empowerment through the voting process. Because it was my first time meeting the students, part of the half hour was spent getting to know each other. I highly recommend volunteering with young people, whether they are as little as a kindergartner, or as old as a college student. Today, 826 has chapters in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Michigan, and Boston.
