Beth's Blog: How Nonprofits Can Use Social Media

In-world speakers from nonprofits who spoke about their work included Evonne Heyning from Camp Darfur, Barry Joseph from Global Kids , Lori Bell from the Library Alliance , and Marc Sirkin from LLS. A Museum group is also forming to discuss and explore what museum's can do in SL. I also turned off my audio.

Most museums already have websites. I’m not an expert on museums who can comment on why museums have websites and what they use that platform for. It seems that the primary reasons museums have websites are to convey basic information about the museum and as a marketing mechanism for content.
