Their Tweetsgiving campaigns were fundraisers benefiting Mama Lucy’s school in Tanzania and connected the students to their supporters through Twitter. You may laugh, but I’ve reviewed grantmakers and government funds where that was actually the only criteria, other than going through the process of filling out the application form.

Communities on both platforms were clearly not part of the development and communications process, yet they were actively using the platform (for example, a grant from ideablob helped Epic Change implement a technology lab in a school in Tanzania ). If a platform were to disappear, would the community be able to continue on?

Developers and Nonprofits Come Together to Make Apps for Change

He's currently working on an event planner module, which I can see being a huge asset for nonprofits or community organizers, such as organizers of our NetSquared groups.
