Global Empowerment Mission has already deployed one ship full of supplies to Haiti and is continuing to raise funds to aid in their distribution efforts. Our work started by focusing on long term empowerment projects. For the past 5 or 6 years we've had a small but steady group of supporters who are primarily invested in our empowerment projects. To us that was more important, but thankfully the resources followed the work! That applies to our communications as well.

It's an amazing act of love really in response to the hurricane and the racial neglect that occurred down on the Gulf. And it's up to us to not play small but to play big and ask for that resource, and to build partnerships instead of begging for scraps, and hoping and praying and complaining that there is nothing for us.
