Nonprofit consultant Hildy Gottlieb has been a vocal skeptic and is deeply philosophically opposed to online contests as a method of change in the social sector. A place that truly sees these initiatives as part of their mission to serve their local community. They just finished a YouTube video contest. Spam, obscenity--they just aren't an issue at all. I keep telling people, I’m really honest that these are communities, not marketing opportunities. Is there such a place?
