Despite these successes, ShowerUp’s BIG problem was organizing their 1,449 volunteers. Paul also knew that today’s volunteers are tomorrow’s donors; he needed to nurture his greatest advocates.

I had always been an informal mentor, but when I moved to Florida, I joined Big Brothers Big Sisters as a volunteer, a ‘Big Sister’. As we celebrate Black History Month, Big Brothers Big Sisters will shine a spotlight on the contributions of African-Americans. She works in the medical field supporting COVID-19 patients.
