Plants! Natural Materials! Review of Explora!, a Peaceful, Delightful Science Center

My first jobs were in science and children's museums. So imagine my delight to visit Explora in Albuquerque. The overwhelming experience I had while touring it wasn't excitement or craziness or childishness - it was contented wonder. Why doesn't every museum have plants everywhere? I love science centers.

Happy New Year! Two Free Books! And Watermelon!

Dear Museum 2.0 I published The Participatory Museum in March (with help from many of you!) and spent the rest of the year traveling to give workshops and presentations related to its content. While I did learn a ton from my experiences, especially in far-flung places and small museums, it was also exhausting.
