Naturally, my colleagues and I have taken the lead in establishing our organizational presence on sites like Facebook, Twitter, Ning and posting to our blog. My department will facilitate a workshop about creative uses of social media to achieve our organizational goals. We know what our supporters like, need and want.

There are plenty of options ( Google Sites , Ning , and GroupSite , to name a few) that allow you to host discussions and share documents with groups of people relatively easily.
