The video producers, a husband/wife team, started their company after doing some volunteer work in Peru with CARE. Exposure can be a motivation. Contests can work too, the Crooks and Liars was mentioned.

We brought professional empowerment mentors and coaches, and also professional editors. What's interesting about the way the organization is shifting into this place of more of a foundation, and more of that team, and sustainability, is it's giving me the space to build in my own sustainability. We think it's because of the mentorship.
