The way I see it, there are many directions that technology is aiding social change work: enabling data sharing, exchange and mapping. You can also use Social Actions’ Twitter mashups to pull and push actionable opportunities to your network. The power of blogs is the real-time documentation. It’s not going to work.

The result displays in table format as well as visualized on an interactive shaded map of the US. Over 1,500 mashups later, and a first prize win in the contest, DataMasher is proving to be a great experiment in data transparency. Ensure you have good documentation. Use an international standard for time.
