There’s a great Wikipedia article to do the work for me. All other readers have tiny market share in comparison to both of those players. They don’t have the same success with eBooks that they did with music. I won’t go into exhaustive detail here on the wide variety of readers and formats.

The initial cyberstrategy was to capitalize on the inmates' interest in music by using music as a means of teaching digital skills. They will have an inagural in September and plan to produce a music dvd by one of the more talented inmates (proceeds will go back to inmates, the prison, and the victims' families).

SaaS vs. Open Source

Yes, there are licensing fees, but they pale in comparison to what it would cost if we had to rely on an open source product and maintain it ourselves. It’s my understanding that none of the major non-profit SaaS players use open source tools. For example, we (DonorPerfect Online), use Microsoft SQL Server 2005 for the database engine.
