I don’t think we want homeless shelters, food pantries, mental health organizations, etc., to care a whole lot about how many hits they got in comparison to similar (or different) organizations. It wasn’t meant as a statement about what I think about whether or not web stats are a useful metric of much.

Twitter: At 330 million users per month, Twitter feels like a fading platform in comparison to the others. On Twitter, you might connect the volunteers to the cause area: We cannot fix homelessness in a city with so little affordable housing, but we can provide a meal and referrals to medical, dental, and mental health services.
