I am in Cambodia as part of Tech2Empower , an initiative of Wake. I traveled with a team of Advisers to conduct an interactive “Tech2Empower” workshop for leaders of anti-trafficking and women’s rights NGOs. I’ve also taught social media to young people in Cambodia.

Instead, we bring over supplies for the Sharing Foundation , mostly in-kind donations of clothing, medicine, or other items that can't be easily acquired or are cheaper in the US.

As I do every year for my birthday, I ask for donations to the Sharing Foundation in lieu of gifts or cards. This nonprofit helps to care for children in Cambodia. Many children in Cambodia do not go to school because their families lack the $10 for a uniform, required for school attendance.
