I also liked the work we did a few years ago to support telecentres in poor communities affected by civil war in Colombia. In its nearly 1,400 year history the civilization of Islam has developed immense diversity. One of the things TechSoup does well is to bring relevant tools and resources to the needs that people have on the ground.

That effort was concentrated around raising funds and awareness for the work that our national organization and local clubs are leading. Imagine living amidst conflict in Yemen, or avoiding your backyard in Colombia because there may be weapons leftover from war that are contaminating your land.

It is a good thing we are doing this in Women's History Month. So on a multiple set of fronts, there is much you can do to support the Global Fund for Women and we hope that you will raise both awareness and resources to make a difference in women's lives. It hasn't happened in Latin America's history.
