Last Sunday, I drove like a bat out of hell from my Sharing Foundation board meeting in New Hampshire to my computer so I could log in to the RootsCampSL session on "U sing Machinima for Social Change and Political Action." Some takeaways for me: I learned how to spell and pronounce this new genre of filmmaking.

While I was at the Nonprofit Technology Conference in March, I got to hear Tim Fullerton from Oxfam talk about how they used YouTube and other social web tools as part of their campaign. They created a Flickr petition where they asked people to post a photo of themselves with a sign that says, "I support Ethiopian coffee farmers."
