Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, many nonprofit organizations have found success moving away from in-person fundraising towards virtual and hybrid options. You can host an in-person event with a set race route, or you can allow people to participate virtually in their own time and space. Parkinson’s Nebraska used the walk concept to inspire their Walk the State fundraiser, which asked participants to communally walk the distance it would take to cross the state of Nebraska.
