I personally liked the definition presenter Peter Campbell, of Earthjustice , used: an outsourced platform, application, or suite of applications delivered over the Internet. Cloud tools are often easy to use ("criminally simple," as one presenter put it). Offline synchronization capabilities aren't very good yet.
