We had 15 teams from throughout West Africa coming to learn appropriate water technologies from West African women trainers, who are experts in these types of skills.

It seemed to be a really good and sustainable model, and we raised around $300,000 doing that kind of work. We put together a week-long curriculum to really help people do just that: find their purpose and then give them the skills. I knew that the work that I was doing was effective.
