The delegation included representatives from women’s rights foundations, a medical doctor and lecturer, a university vice-chancellor, and the head of the Women’s Status Unit of the Istanbul Governor’s Human Rights Department. What happened over an exchange of cookies and Turkish Delight candy was a meeting of minds and spirit.
