I have spent almost all day today testing different ways to compress and host video posts that might work where the Internet access is slow or if you are video blogging from an Internet cafe and the computer does not have windows movie maker on it. It was actually quite liberating not to be carefully scripted and staged.

You can upload to their host or you can download a.swf file. It was very liberating for me to create a screencast like this -- no storyboard, script, no retakes. If you're making a screencast, and you end up having a vertical monopoly on the process (you write the script, do the filming, operate the mouse, do the editing, and produce it), you need to become a super learner. However, the idea of editing a long file in Camtasia does not sound appealing to me.).

what I loosely call the documentary/instructional movie approach. especially when you are vertical monopoly on your screencast -- director, producer, script writer, researcher, narrator, set designer, etc. Deadlines and learning your craft in an experimental medium are definitely NOT compatible.! ve used in the past ???

And, now I'm not sure where my upload bombs of png files were due to that problem or not). I originaly produced this at 800x600 as a SWF with highest quality audio/video and the resulting file was a whooping 72,000 KB. I found that I don't like reading a script word for word, so what works for me is bullet points. Listen to it.
