There is “Bayanihan’ Spirit” or the Flippino word for community which includes lots grassroots fundraising through smaller nonprofits (offline and online ) and the church. According to the DEC (disaster emergency committee) , a UK based coalition made up of 14 charities who band together in times of crisis, 6 million british pounds were raised via mobile donations after the Philippines was rocked by the typhoon that occurred earlier this year. Ensure donors can access donation screens quickly.

This lines up with the time frame when the most money was raised during December. I refer to it as the Kickstartification of fundraising where nonprofits use time-boxed fundraising goals to drive giving campaigns. I continue to have concerns about over-saturation during end of year fundraising and the trap that it creates.
