GOOD Maker, in a partnership with NTEN, announced Detroit's Green Economy Leadership Training (Solidarity) winner of their Use Technology for Good challenge. The organization with the most votes by August 31 will also receive a $5,000 grant from the Case Foundation. Congratulations, Solidarity!

What we're trying to do is generate enough support to indicate that we need these announcements out of the auto industry to translate into something tangible. Additionally, there has been a lot of rhetoric on the part of the automakers regarding the greenness of their operations, when in fact what we are seeing is a lot of green-washing.
