To celebrate, ChildFund International is giving gifts of agricultural love and hope from the organization’s gift catalog for every 200 Twitter followers @childfund. These efforts will directly benefit children in Gambia, Zambia, Kenya and Ethiopia. Vegetable seeds in Ethiopia. A goat for a family farm in Zambia.

Celebrating Birthdays is definitely part of Facebook culture. Asking for donations in lieu of birthday gifts is not new.

They give you the gifts that keep on giving. When I was 9 years old, I told my parents who were volunteers in a lot of ways, our church, the summer celebration, political campaigns, I told them that I thought I wanted to help everyone in Minnesota, and so I should try to be governor of Minnesota.
