This was a trip to bring urban young people to experience life in a rural area and to deliver school supplies for children who live in the province and are very poor.

But when I realized it would take a long time before a small NGO working in a country, like say, Cambodia, might be able to purchase a small number of them (less than 100) to outfit a school, I was disappointed. I've been thinking about how bloggers can use their blogs during the holiday season to support organizations that they care about, like Chez Pim has done for UNICEF with the Menu for Hope. My fellow BlogHer co-editor, Beth Kanter , has launched a fundraising campaign using ChipIn. She sits on their board.
