My last full-time, Monday-through-Friday job was as an outreach director for a small international development organization in San Francisco. Adding social media to that already packed job description just would not have been possible. You need a good avatar. And that’s not good and it’s happening more and more.

It’s commendable, but after four years of recession and the likelihood that you generously added social media to your already packed job description without compensation, it’s not sustainable and being overworked and underpaid will only lead to burnout and resentment.
