I’m on week 3 of my Ubuntu laptop migration – things are smoothing out – I’ve got audio working, I can listen to mp3 and audio streams. I still haven’t figured out how to get higher resolution on my laptop screen, but that’s mostly due to lack of time trying to get it to work.

The Wall Street Journal cites the manufacturer that the goal for Mother is to help users track their eating, fitness, hygiene, and security. It was by most accounts a good show with lots of weird stuff on display. Mother will cost $222 for a base unit and four Cookies, and is expected to start shipping next month.
