SXSWcares , co-branded as SXSW4Japan, was a campaign that rallied the SXSW community to raise awareness and harness support for disaster relief. That morning, I saw the jaw-dropping photos and videos from the Japan tsunami disaster. Hanson led a 12-hour telethon that featured over 40+ artists. What you will change the next time?

According to a study by the journal, Political Psychology , students who were already "community-minded" were not affected by community service requirements at their school, but students who were more "self-interested" developed a, "willingnes to donate their time to charity as well as a greater political awareness."
