The project is training 300 NGOs in Jordan , Lebanon , Tunisia , Morocco , and other Arab countries to become networked ngos and use social media for civil society goals. A true public/private partnership, the funding partners include Microsoft and craiglist Charitable Fund. You can read more about it on the Tunisia Team’s blog.

Each topic introduced a framework and story, and was followed by discussion and activities to identify examples in the Arab world and or determine whether the principle was relevant. The Team from Tunisia identified Sawty as an example of a networked nonprofit in Tunisia, while the Lebanon Team pointed to Nasawiya.

You also need to challenge participants thought processes and stimulate curiosity about what you are teaching. This includes meeting and greeting people, setting up the room for interaction, getting people to move around, to be actively involved with the content, and appreciating learners. This is an exercise I used in Tunisia.
