The COVID-19 pandemic is disproportionately affecting women and girls around the world, which threatens the gains made in the past decades in advancing women’s economic empowerment, health, rights, and safety. They use netball as a way to provide safe spaces for development and visibility of their target population.

If your angle is using this training as an outlet for local empowerment and development, then you very much want to bring in mentorship. We brought professional empowerment mentors and coaches, and also professional editors. They're coming from Nepal, the Philippines, and Bolivia. We think it's because of the mentorship.

The essence of Dining for Women is connection, education, and self-empowerment. In 2011, we're going to Nepal. You've also added a travel program. What inspired that, and what are some favorite stories from recent trips? The travel program was a natural extension of those three things. It was wonderful. I can't wait. I'm so excited.
